Course Name: Factory Set Up, Manufacturing & Assemble (FSMA)

Number of days: 6

Course Overview:
A comprehensive 6 day practical course delivered by international professionals providing expert guidance in the operation of steel framing machines, frame manufacturing and factory set-up for optimal manufacturing performance and delivery. This course is designed for beginner and start up steel framing companies looking for international best practice training in light gauge steel manufacturing techniques, factory set-up and staff training.

Specifically this course covers in detail;

  • Factory layout and set up for optimal manufacturing performance. Including machine location, framing tables manufacturing and positioning, factory layout, steel coil management, frame stacking and storage and steel coil management, storage and tracking. This ensures your factory is laid out for optimal delivery and performance.
  • Staff manufacturing and frame assemble training. Staff will be trained in best practice techniques for fast and efficient fabrication of finished frames and house sections such as walls and trusses.

By the end of this 6 day on-site course your factory and staff will be trained in the best international practices for steel frame manufacturing for optimum delivery of assembled frames, manufacturing techniques and staff operations.

International experts in steel frame building and construction teach staff how to manufacture and build a steel framed house.

Specifically this course covers in detail;

  • Applying and fastening internal and external walls and linings (cladding systems).
  • Installation of windows and doors into a framed building.
  • Applications to attach steel frames to concrete and wooden floors and bases.
  • How to build and attach various roof types.

By the end of this course staff will have acquired the foundation skills necessary to be able to build a steel framed house.

Consulting Services

Steelport can provide you with light gauge steel experts for short or medium term fabrication and building projects anywhere in the world. If you have a particular project that requires additional staff for design, fabrication, erection or building we can provide you with senior and experienced professionals to assist.
